About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing team in Spring Hill, TN. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and automated manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, experience working with PLC-controlled equipment, conveyor systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES), and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance

Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, regulators, and pneumatic controls.

Perform repairs and replacements on gearboxes, bearings, drive shafts, sprockets, and drive chains.

Operate manual machine shop equipment, including lathes and milling machines.

Perform TIG welding and fabrication repairs as needed.

Repair and maintain manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and assembly aids.

Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance activities on production equipment.

Electrical & Controls Maintenance

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.

Troubleshoot and repair motors, contactors, relays, power supplies, fuses, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), PLC I/O cards, RF readers, and proximity sensors.

Diagnose electrical failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs and ControlLogix systems.

Support and troubleshoot automated conveyor systems and associated controls.

Understand and troubleshoot DeviceNet communication networks.

Assist with controls modifications and system improvements as needed.

Manufacturing Systems Support

Troubleshoot interactions between PLC-controlled equipment and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).

Support production systems by diagnosing communication and interface issues between manufacturing software and plant equipment.

Utilize Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems for documentation, reporting, and troubleshooting.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or industrial maintenance certification preferred.

3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience with pneumatic systems and power transmission components.

Experience replacing bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and drive assemblies.

Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, and TIG welding equipment.

Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and ControlLogix systems.

Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation.

Experience with conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment.
