Plant Operations Leader Barberton, OH Full-time, Onsite Salary + Bonus As the Plant Operations Leader, you will lead daily plant operations, production plans, and develop operational and leadership capabilities within a complex manufacturing environment. You will provide hands-on experience in production leadership, performance management, and coordination, preparing for expanded operational responsibility. You will report to the Manager, Operations and work onsite at the Barberton, OH plant. Responsibilities: You will ensure execution of daily and weekly production plans to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets. Monitor real-time operations, identify issues, and guide immediate corrective actions to maintain stable and efficient production. Lead daily production meetings to review performance and communicate priorities. Use data to identify trends, prioritize actions, and improve overall plant performance. Promote safety standards and standard work while driving accountability for shift performance. Build team capability through active coaching, feedback, and engagement on the plant floor. You will partner with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and EHS to resolve issues and improve performance. Identify and improve opportunities to enhance process stability, efficiency, and OEE. Be the backup to the Production Manager, gaining exposure to broader operational leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, engineering field preferred. 3+ years of leadership experience driving employee accountability and achieving operational performance metrics within a production or manufacturing environment. Strong ownership and improvement of important operational metrics. Demonstrated initiative to improve plant capability and performance. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, quality, productivity, employee accountability, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to drive operational performance. Candidates with experience in paper, film, extrusion, converting, specialty materials, chemical processing, web handling, or other continuous manufacturing environments are highly encouraged to apply. ResponsibilitiesLead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, production, and throughput goals.Execute production plans while monitoring operations and responding to production issues in real time.Lead daily production meetings and communicate priorities across operations.Analyze production data and plant KPIs to improve operational performance.Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with plant procedures and standard work.Coach, develop, and hold production teams accountable for performance.Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to resolve production challenges.Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve process stability and efficiency.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, productivity, downtime reduction, quality, and yield.Serve as the backup to the Production Manager and gain broader plant leadership experience. QualificationsBachelor's degree required (Engineering preferred).3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Experience leading frontline production teams and driving employee accountability.Experience executing production plans and managing daily manufacturing operations.Understanding of Manufacturing Operating Systems (MOS) or daily management systems.Strong understanding of production KPIs including OEE, throughput, quality, safety, downtime, scrap, yield, and productivity.Experience using production data to drive operational improvements.Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
