Job Description Job Summary/Responsibilities The role of the Maintenance Scheduler is to effectively balance manpower and resource requirements for planned daily, down day, or outage work to be performed through best practices, while maintaining operational goals for safety, quality and productivity of plant operations. As a team member of the Maintenance Department, the Scheduler reports to the Reliability Manager. Ensure the planned work is fully prepared to execute work from all sources such as scheduled outages, equipment failures, and preventative maintenance schedules, through direct collaboration with planning, supervision, procurement team as well as other stakeholders Review planned work orders and determine the most beneficial work plan based on resource availability to align with forecasted plans, work with planners and supervisors to manage the work order backlog in area of responsibility and priority Create job packages and supplies job instructions, drawings, and safety documentation, pre-staged materials, and job duration estimates Compile metrics on completed down day and outage evolutions metrics to measure performance and compliance to planned schedules Assist in development and maintenance of an electronic library of procedures, Job Safety Analyses (JSA's), checklists, drawings, contractor scopes, etc. Create weekly down day as well as major outage evolutions to take advantage of scheduling maintenance jobs for these work orders, correctly classify and index work orders and other relevant data, and correct inaccuracies and duplicate work orders Establish cost effectiveness and include safety, environmental, production, and total cost of ownership goals that consist of the following elements: Preventive/predictive maintenance (PPM) plan, including detailed task procedures Skills/Requirements Minimum High school diploma. Two year technical degree and/or technical training preferred Minimum of five years' industrial plant experience in repairs, including mechanical maintenance activities. Experience in Heavy Industrial Maintenance such as steel mill, pulp/paper, oil & gas Experience in planning and coordinating major maintenance/overhaul projects is a plus Ability to work under extreme temperature and environmental conditions Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) experience - Oracle Preferred Solid computer skills in Microsoft applications that includes Excel, Word, Project and Outlook Compensation $80,000- $85,000 per year Open & Closing Dates: 02/05/2024 – 03/25/2024 Work Environment/Physical Requirements Typical administrative / office environment: no exposure to adverse environmental conditions Environmental conditions: protected from weather conditions but not from temperature changes Outside environmental conditions: no effective protection from the weather Sedentary work: exerting up to 10lb of force occasionally Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
