OT Solution Architect

Regular travel to client sites required

Full UK driving license mandatory

6 month initial contract

£450 per day outside IR35 + mileage reimbursed & overnight accommodation and subsistence allowance

The role is focused on assessing existing radio communication links and the associated OT equipment at both ends of the connection (including PLCs, RTUs, telemetry, and SCADA interfaces) to define the most appropriate site-specific replacement solutions. This is primarily a Solution Architecture role requiring strong experience in OT communications and brownfield environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to validate current-state deployments and identify constraints
• Assess OT interfaces, dependencies, and communication requirements across existing links
• Define fit-for-purpose replacement solutions (radio, cellular, or alternative communications technologies as appropriate)
• Produce implementable designs aligned with operational, resilience, and cyber security requirements
• Support FAT/SAT activities, commissioning, implementation, and resolution of site-specific issues

Candidate Profile

• Strong experience within OT environments and industrial communications
• Proven experience designing site-specific solutions within brownfield environments
• Good understanding of telemetry, RTUs, PLC interfaces, and OT communication networks
• Experience within utilities or other critical infrastructure sectors would be highly desirable
