To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this <a target="_blank" href="https://my.it.miami.edu/wda/erpsec/tipsheets/ER_eRecruiting_ApplyforaJob.pdf">tip sheet</a>.</p><p></p><p><b>Research Professor in Fisheries, ecology or related field </b></p><p>The Department of Marine Biology and Ecology (MBE) at the Rosenstiel School of Marine Atmospheric and Earth is seeking a part time Research Professor to lead and support existing long-term ecological monitoring programs operating in local waters, including Biscayne Bay, Florida Bay, the Florida Keys Reef Tract and adjacent pelagic waters.</p><p></p><p>The selected individual will: (a) possess a Ph.D. in Marine Science, Fisheries, Ecology, or related field; and (b) have experience ensuring the proper design and execution of applied field sampling and laboratory-based experiments relevant to assessing the impacts of Everglades restoration, watershed development, fishery management and climate change. Required is a solid track record of conducting and publishing ecological and fisheries research, performing advanced statistical analyses, and collaborating with federal, state and county agencies to find solutions to the region’s most pressing environmental problems.</p><p></p><p>This is a part time position for a seasoned scientist who has led major research programs, contributed broadly to marine science through publication and editorial work, and thrives in dynamic, collaborative, multidisciplinary environments. The appointed individual is expected to perform modest service functions and to serve on graduate student advisory committees and potentially teach up to one course per semester in areas relevant to the individuals research interests.</p><p></p><p>The University of Miami is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
