About the Role
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Social Worker - Team Central Locality team (Stowmarket) with Suffolk County Council.
Role: Social Worker - Team Central Locality team (Stowmarket)-
Location: The Mix 127 Ipswich Steet Stowmarket IP14 1BB
Pay Rate: £35- £ 39 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Complete child and family assessments to identify needs and safeguarding concerns.
Analyse parenting capacity and family functioning.
Assess child developmental needs, considering cultural, social, and environmental factors.
Investigate safeguarding concerns and undertake Section 47 enquiries.
Participate in Child Protection (CP) conferences and develop/review child protection plans.
Work collaboratively with families to reduce risk.
Maintain accurate case records, update summaries, and write reports for meetings or court.
Ensure statutory visits are completed and plans are reviewed regularly.
Conduct home visits, one-to-one work with children, parenting support, safety planning, and advocacy for the child.
Participate in multi-agency meetings, including Child in Need (CIN) meetings, Child Protection conferences, and strategy meetings.
Prepare court statements, attend hearings, and work with legal teams.
Support care planning for children in line with statutory requirements.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in safeguarding children and families.
Knowledge of statutory frameworks, child protection procedures, and best practices.
Strong communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies.

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
