Deliver real carbon reduction.</strong></p> <p>This is a standout opportunity for an experienced <strong>Energy Manager</strong> to take ownership of a large, multi-site estate and play a pivotal role in delivering an ambitious <strong>Net Zero by 2030 strategy</strong>.</p> <p>You&#8217;ll combine <strong>technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strategic influence</strong> to drive measurable reductions in energy use, carbon emissions, and cost &#8211; while shaping long-term sustainability outcomes.</p> <hr /> <h3><strong>Why this role stands out</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>End-to-end ownership</strong> of energy, carbon, and water performance</li> <li>Lead decarbonisation across a <strong>diverse, complex estate (25+ buildings)</strong></li> <li>Influence <strong>major capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and energy strategy</strong></li> <li>High visibility role with exposure to <strong>senior leadership and key stakeholders</strong></li> <li>Opportunity to implement <strong>innovative technologies and low-carbon solutions</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3><strong>What you&#8217;ll be doing</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Leading <strong>energy and carbon strategy delivery</strong>, driving progress towards Net Zero</li> <li>Managing <strong>energy and utilities contracts, budgets, and performance</strong></li> <li>Using data and BMS systems to <strong>identify inefficiencies and optimise consumption</strong></li> <li>Delivering and project managing <strong>energy reduction and decarbonisation initiatives</strong></li> <li>Embedding <strong>low-carbon design and energy standards</strong> into new builds and refurbishments</li> <li>Advising on <strong>energy procurement, tariffs, and alternative energy solutions (e.g. PPAs, self-generation)</strong></li> <li>Engaging stakeholders across estates, finance, and leadership to <strong>drive behavioural and operational change</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3><strong>What we&#8217;re looking for</strong></h3> <p>You&#8217;ll likely come from the <strong>Higher Education, Utilities, or large complex estates sector</strong>, with:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in <strong>energy and carbon management at scale</strong></li> <li>Strong technical knowledge of <strong>BMS, metering, utilities, and energy systems</strong></li> <li>Expertise in <strong>energy legislation, compliance, and reporting</strong></li> <li>Experience managing <strong>utilities budgets, contracts, and suppliers</strong></li> <li>A track record of delivering <strong>carbon reduction and energy efficiency projects</strong></li> <li>Confidence influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership</li> </ul> <p>A degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Energy, Building Services, Environmental Management) is expected.</p> <hr /> <h3><strong>Working pattern</strong></h3> <p>This is a <strong>highly operational and stakeholder-facing role</strong>, requiring you to be <strong>onsite a minimum of 3 days per week</strong> across the estate.</p> <hr /> <h3> </h3> <p>If you&#8217;re ready to <strong>own the energy agenda, influence major investment decisions, and deliver tangible Net Zero outcomes</strong>, this is your next step.</p> <p><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/U2ltb25CdXJyLjkxMzczLjExMzA5QG1vcmdhbmxhdy5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif"></p>
