Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a senior-focused primary care clinic in Tulsa, OK. The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role involves performing clinical duties, patient education, and supporting healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position is a temporary 15-week contract with potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current LPN Certification in Oklahoma
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program
  • At least 1 year of medical assisting experience
  • CPR certification (preferred)
  • IV Start certification (preferred)
  • Phlebotomy experience and knowledge of specimen collection methods
  • Ability to effectively read and write in medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical coding and HIPAA compliance
  • Familiarity with common prescription medications
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools
  • Own transportation and ability to operate basic medical and computer equipment

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and prepare them for examination, including history-taking and record documentation
  • Measure and record vital signs and other clinical data in electronic medical records
  • Assist providers during procedures by handing instruments and equipment
  • Perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, IV monitoring, and in-office diagnostic tests
  • Conduct CLIA-waived lab testing and maintain related logs and quality controls
  • Draw blood and process specimens for send-out testing
  • Provide patient education and support provider in clinical procedures
  • Manage medical supplies, inventory, and ordering as needed
  • Support front office functions, including patient check-in/out, referrals, and medication management
  • Perform additional clerical and clinical duties as assigned
