About the Role

Athletes, fun runners and active families – get ready! The annual Craigavon Lake Run and Wheelchair Race is set to take place on Wednesday 3 June 2026! Sponsored by Rushmere Shopping Centre, McKeever Sports, Lidl, Tesco, Eurospar, Lake Road Centra and organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, this 1K, 5K and 10K event is a regular feature in the athletics calendar, attracting over 500 entrants each year! The 1K Family Fun Run and 5K are suitable for all ages (children aged 11 years and over can run with friends but must also be accompanied by an adult). The 10K Run/Wheelchair Race is suitable for those aged 16 years and over. The Craigavon Lake Run features a scenic loop around the idyllic Craigavon Lakes. The race sets off from the back gate of the Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre before leading runners onto the lakeside path, with the finish line positioned at the Craigavon Lakes slipway near the South Lake Leisure Centre car park. On crossing the finish line, each participant will be rewarded with a medal! There are fantastic prizes up for grabs for first, second and third place winners in each run and race category, including an overnight glamping stay at Kinnego Marina, Rushmere shopping vouchers, getactiveabc memberships, activities at Craigavon Golf and Ski Centre, golf at Loughgall County Park and more! Race packs will be available for collection from McKeever Sports retail shop (Unit 8, Gilpinstown Road, Lurgan) from 1pm on Sunday 31 May to 6pm on Tuesday 2 June. Late pack collections can be made from South Lake Leisure Centre reception from 10am on Wednesday 3 June. Registration closes Wednesday 27 May. Register online www.getactiveabc.com/craigavonrun
