Job Summary Our Media & Entertainment client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design and build secure, scalable, and high-performance systems that power the client's technology ecosystem. The ideal client will have significant personal projects they can share with the team such as published papers or patents. Core Responsibilities Contribute to building core backend services that support critical infrastructure and applications used across a diverse portfolio Day to day core coding responsibilities Contribute to architectural design Cross-team collaboration and coordination Work on systems that require thoughtful design, robust implementation, and close integration with internal platforms and services Participate in foundational engineering work that supports millions of users and enables secure, reliable, and automated operations across a wide range of environments Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Bachelor's Degree 7+ years of professional software development experience Personal projects is a must - shareable links, published papers or patents, etc Proven experience architecting and implementing complex, distributed systems Demonstrated success delivering highly available, mission-critical services in production environments Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages Hands-on experience with modern architectural paradigms such as microservices, event-driven systems, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Skilled at producing architectural artifacts, including system diagrams, technical documentation, and design decision records Solid understanding of software design patterns and system design principles, with the ability to both apply best practices and critically assess them when needed Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a preference for AWS experience Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams Key Competencies & Behaviors Ownership & Systems Thinking Collaborative Communication Continuous Innovation & Technical Curiosity Work Environment Location: Remote Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $60.00 and $85.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
