<div> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Role Summary<br />The IT Operations Lead will oversee all aspects of the IT function for a large manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring dependable, protected, and scalable IT infrastructure, support for business systems, assistance for end users, cybersecurity measures, execution of IT projects, and readiness of plant technology.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">This role involves hands-on leadership within a sophisticated manufacturing setting. The IT Operations Lead will manage a small team of technical professionals while collaborating closely with various departments including operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, finance, HR, supply chain, logistics, corporate IT, vendors, and external service providers.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">This role is crucial as the company expands its manufacturing operations across multiple production sites, coating facilities, logistics centers, workshops, and yards in the U.S.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Position Scope<br />Oversee IT infrastructure, support for end users, coordination of ERP/business application support, cybersecurity measures, management of IT assets, vendors, documentation, and technology readiness for plant operations.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Offer hands-on leadership and support for IT issues in both the plant and office environments.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Key Responsibilities</p> <ol start="1"> <li>Site IT Oversight<br />• Take charge of the overall IT function, including infrastructure, help desk, support for ERP/business systems, coordination of cybersecurity measures, management of IT assets, vendors, documentation, and execution of IT projects<br />• Prioritize tasks related to infrastructure, applications, and help desk support based on plant requirements, service levels, and project commitments<br />• Ensure IT support aligns with production continuity, safety, operational excellence, and corporate IT standards</li> <li>Management of IT Infrastructure<br />• Manage the performance, reliability, and security of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, routers, firewalls, servers, storage, backups, virtualization, and cloud/hybrid systems<br />• Supervise Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email services, Teams, SharePoint, endpoint management, printers, scanners, conference room technology, and end-user devices<br />• Maintain server rooms, racks, cabling, UPS systems, and shop-floor connectivity to support 24/7 manufacturing operations</li> <li>Support for Help Desk and End Users<br />• Supervise the site help desk function and ensure timely, professional support for office, plant, yard, and logistics users<br />• Establish service-level expectations, monitor ticket performance, ensure appropriate escalation procedures, and develop standard operating procedures for recurring issues<br />• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, laptops, desktops, printers, phones, access requirements, and IT asset assignments</li> <li>ERP and Business Applications Support<br />• Coordinate first-level site support for ERP and other business applications, working with corporate IT teams or external consultants as needed<br />• Support user access requests, role coordination, reporting, troubleshooting, and escalation of process issues<br />• Ensure application availability for finance, procurement, inventory, production planning, quality, maintenance, HR, logistics, and management reporting users</li> <li>Support for Manufacturing and Plant IT<br />• Ensure IT systems support production office and shop-floor connectivity, quality systems, maintenance and engineering systems, yard/logistics connectivity, warehouse/inventory systems, and site security systems where applicable<br />• Collaborate with operations, engineering, automation, and OT teams to maintain plant systems and minimize disruptions to production<br />• Ensure IT needs are addressed early in new line installations, expansions, commissions, and facility projects</li> <li>Cybersecurity and Risk Management<br />• Manage cybersecurity controls at the site level, including endpoint protection, patch compliance, firewall/VPN access, multi-factor authentication, user access reviews, backups, and vendor access control<br />• Coordinate responses to cyber incidents with corporate IT and external support partners<br />• Promote awareness of cybersecurity, user compliance, and effective risk management across the site</li> <li>IT Projects Assistance and Support for Expansion<br />• Lead or coordinate IT projects such as network upgrades, expansion of Wi-Fi networks, enhancements to servers and backups, cybersecurity initiatives, rollouts of ERP/applications, upgrades to office technology, cabling/fiber projects, hardware refresh programs, and readiness for new facility IT systems<br />• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and with proper documentation and handover</li> <li>Management of Vendors and Contracts<br />• Supervise local IT vendors and service providers, including telecom companies, hardware/software suppliers, managed service providers, cybersecurity vendors, cabling contractors, and cloud/data center partners<br />• Verify that vendors offer reliable service, competitive pricing, timely responses, and appropriate documentation</li> <li>IT Governance, Compliance, and Documentation<br />• Maintain disciplined IT governance, including inventory of assets, software licenses, network diagrams, documentation of servers/systems, backup procedures, records of user access, IT policies, standard operating procedures, change records, support for audits, and tracking of budgets<br />• Ensure IT controls are practical, auditable, and in line with corporate requirements</li> <li>Leadership and Development of Team<br />• Lead, mentor, and develop the local IT team, enhancing technical skills, providing cross-training, creating backup coverage, and establishing a structured escalation process<br />• Cultivate a service-oriented culture within the IT team, emphasizing responsiveness, quality, documentation, follow-up, and accountability</li> </ol> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Required Qualifications<br />• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field<br />• 8–12 years of progressive IT experience with at least 4–5 years in an IT leadership or supervisory role<br />• Experience overseeing IT infrastructure, help desk operations, networking, servers, cybersecurity measures, and business applications<br />• Experience in manufacturing, industrial settings, heavy equipment, automotive, energy, or similar environments<br />• Experience supporting ERP systems and manufacturing operations<br />• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, servers, backup systems, endpoint management, and Microsoft environments<br />• Experience managing technical teams and working with vendors</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Preferred Qualifications<br />• Experience supporting manufacturing operations that run 24/7<br />• Exposure to IT/OT environments and connectivity on the plant floor<br />• Experience supporting plant expansions, startups, or major infrastructure upgrades<br />• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or CIS Controls<br />• Preferred certifications include ITIL, CCNA, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or PMP</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Leadership Expectations<br />The IT Operations Lead should be visible, responsive, and hands-on.
