About the Role

Position Summary   At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH Staff Associate/Supply Chain Clinical Analyst is a valuable member of our team, who provides administrative and/or clinical support and has the ability to interface with physicians, management and clerical staff throughout the hospital.  Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior communication and organization skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.   Duties of a TH Staff Associate/Supply Chain Clinical Analyst may include but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with Senior Management in creating methods to reduce cost throughout the hospital regarding supplies used. Collaborate with Finance department to create necessary data indicated for analysis. Compile, present data and work with faculty for better understanding of cost efficiency regarding clinical practice supplies while maintaining optimum health care to patients. Communicate with Supply Vendors and determine appropriate ways to obtain best prices upon purchasing merchandise. Recommends clinical inventory control processes in designated departments.    Qualifications   Required:  Current NYS Registered Nurse License.  Minimum five years in clinical practice as an RN. Bachelor’s degree.  Two years of experience working with product standardization, product utilization or cost savings initiatives.    Preferred:  Experience working as an RN in the Operating Room.      Please Note: Verification of degree (e.g., diploma or official transcript) is required for this role.
