About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing service team supporting customers across the Sheffield region and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role, working independently at customer sites while being supported by a central service centre.
The role involves the installation, servicing, repair, and calibration of precision measuring equipment, ensuring customers receive high-quality technical support and reliable performance from their equipment.
Hours Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer
Visit customer sites to install precision measuring equipment.
Carry out planned service and calibration activities.
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, including fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification.
Provide professional technical support while representing the company at customer premises.
Requirements of a Field Service Engineer
BTEC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience.
Strong communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good IT skills.
Full, valid driving licence.
Desirable Skills of a Field Service Engineer
Experience fault finding on mechanical and/or electrical systems.
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
Good interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
