About the Role
Justteachers are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to join a friendly and supportive secondary school in the Salford area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to engage students and nurture an interest in geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will become part of a collaborative humanities department, playing a key role in delivering high-quality lessons and helping students reach their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic and engaging Geography lessons that align with the national curriculum
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported to succeed
- Track, assess, and provide feedback on student progress and attainment
- Adapt teaching approaches to cater for a range of learning abilities and needs
- Contribute ideas to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the department
- Maintain effective classroom management, following school behaviour policies
- Take part in school activities such as parents’ evenings, staff training, and wider school initiatives
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Geography or a related subject
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
