Maintenance Technician

Job Description – Maintenance Technician 

 

The Maintenance Technician shall handle and be responsible for the following tasks/duties at the property: 

•       Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks assigned to Employee on building mechanical systems, in tenant suites, and/or common areas of the Property  

•       Keep all tools, equipment, parts and supplies organized and inventoried so that items are easy to locate when needed  

•       Work with vendors that the company uses to make major repairs to systems or equipment or has a service agreement with to maintain specific equipment; Employee should try to schedule or coordinate these repair visits during Employee’s work hours, when possible 

•       Work with the General Contractor(s) employed by the company to complete renovation and buildout work at the Property to oversee their project work, make sure errors are avoided with their work, that they clean up after themselves, follow safety guidelines and practices, and assist by answering any building system questions they may have when working on projects

•       Assist with cleanup of the parking lot areas 

•       Research options for repairs and search for the best pricing when working on projects and/or repairs to help reduce expenses   

•       Report any tenant comments/complaints about maintenance or custodial items to Property Manager

•       Call Police or First Responders, if a situation at the property warrants their involvement

•       Have a strong understanding of the Emergency Procedures Manual for the property and be able to assist tenants with the protocols, in the event of specific situations outlined in the Emergency Procedures Manual

•       Assist Property Manager with any other tasks as needed

 

Work Hours / Schedule: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM for six (6) work hours each day, plus a 30-minute unpaid break.
