Human Resources Ambassador Relations Specialist- Part-Time The People Behind the Magic Every unforgettable park experience starts with great people-and that's where you come in. We're looking for a dynamic, people-first Human Resources Manager to help assist with the day to day operations of the Human Resources department specifically in Employee Relations. You'll be the go-to expert for all things HR-balancing compliance, culture, and care in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where no two days (or seasons) are the same. You'll support and partner with others in the areas of associate & labor relations, retention, events, as well as oversee HR communication efforts. What You'll Do This position is responsible for supporting the full range of operational related functions within the Human Resources department to include: Investigates all Human Resources assigned or directly reported complaints. Responsible for intake, researching the allegation, developing an investigation plan, conducting effective interviews and data collection, completing a written report and communicating an appropriate summary to relevant parties. Assists in making recommendations on the best course of action and facilitating training as needed. Provide associates and manager s with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues Work with associates and management to determine, document and implement reasonable job accommodations for sincerely held beliefs and for an employee's verified claim of disability. Act as an employee relations representative for concerns involving associate issues such as harassment and discrimination claims. Receive initial associate complaint reports, conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions. Accurately and thoroughly document investigations. Liaise with Park security and law enforcement in any criminal matters. Serves as Human Resources Manager On-Duty as scheduled with responsibilities for conducting employment investigations, coaching manager s and divisional leaders and reviewing requests for dismissal. Analyzes HR investigations, employee relations and other data trends to address and mitigate risk and support and drive our culture of integrity Other duties may be assigned. What we expect from you: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Effectiveness, Business or other related field. Five plus years of managing operational functions within a department. Process improvement and process management experience required. Valid Drivers license is ideal but not required Demonstrated history of strong coordination, collaboration and interpersonal skills; solving problems with a sense of urgency; ability to establish effective partnerships and relationships at all levels. Requires a working knowledge of local, State and Federal employment laws and regulations; ability to research and interpret employment laws and regulations and to develop action plans for implementation of those laws and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence decision makers and balance HR practices and guidelines with business needs. Exceptional organizational and training skills, self-motivated with ability to strategically identify and initiate projects. Must be able to work effectively in fast paced, busy environment with frequently changing priorities, providing hands-on assistance. Flexibility and willingness to work outside of regular business hours. Proficient in office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as HCM and timekeeping systems Ability to stay organized and multitask Positive work ethic and reliable attendance Strong teamwork skills and professional behavior Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
