Contract | 6 Months | London/Reading, UK (Hybrid - 2 days on-site)

The role
A globally recognised technology company is growing its education segment - and data is at the heart of it. We need a hybrid Data Scientist who can build propensity models, size market opportunities, and engineer the pipelines to make it all work in production.

What you'll be doing

  • Building an opportunity sizing model across K12, higher ed, and institutional markets
  • Extending existing propensity models for the education segment
  • Integrating third-party data sources into scalable, production-grade pipelines
  • Presenting insights to senior commercial stakeholders

What you need

  • Strong Python - the existing model suite is Python-heavy
  • Advanced SQL - 5+ years, large complex datasets, Databricks a plus
  • Proven propensity modelling experience - built and delivered, not just theoretical
  • Genuine hybrid capability - data science and data engineering
  • Confident communicator with non-technical stakeholders

Education sector experience is a bonus - but not a dealbreaker.

The Offer

  • Annual Salary range £75000 - £100000 doe
  • 6 months contract PAYE (until end of Nov 2026) - Paid weekly via Principle HR
