On behalf of Customs Support Group, we are currently recruiting a Tax Manager. It is a new role within the company and you will be responsible for all tax matters within the company. You will work closely together with the local Finance Directors and Controllers. You will be supporting a range of tax activities such as but not limited to transfer pricing, tax planning, tax structuring, tax compliance, tax accounting, cash optimization across the group, set up of the tax control framework and involvement in M&A tax due diligence. This diverse array of responsibilities provides a stimulating and dynamic environment, reflected in the daily tasks of the position. 

We are recruiting a motivated and hands-on Tax Manager with approximately 7-10 years’ of relevant tax experience who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and who likes to set up this interesting broad in-house tax role and who will report to the CFO.

Main tasks & responsibilities

• Managing all Dutch and international tax matters for the Group. Responsible for managing the relationship with the tax authorities and liaising with several tax related topics.
• Coordinate with tax advisors to discuss and agree on the approach to (new) tax legislation and provide guidance on ensuring compliance.
• Understand & advise on potential tax consequences of changes in the business area.
• Involvement in M&A projects from a Tax Due Diligence aspect.
• Advise on and assist in (implementing) corporate restructurings.
• Coordinate Tax Compliance and reporting; ensure the company complies with all national and international tax regulations. Working with external tax advisors where needed.
• Optimize the tax cash outflows where possible across the group.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage and support tax audits.
• Coordinate and be responsible for Tax Accounting; prepare, together with the group controller, the income tax position, including deferred tax positions, as input for the quarterly reporting, various tax returns, and financial statements.

Profile

• Master’s degree in fiscal economics or fiscal law.
• Approx. 7-10 years of relevant international tax experience obtained as a tax advisor or in-house tax specialist in an international setting.
• Excellent English skills. Dutch or other languages are an advantage.
• Energetic, analytical, and have a drive to improve processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mentality.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently and effectively with various stakeholders.
• Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
