About the Role
Perform production assembly on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies (modules, boards, panels, frames, cables)
Complete wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and fitting
Work from diagrams and blueprints to perform layouts and precision assembly.
Conduct quality inspections in accordance with specifications.
Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype or experimental assemblies.
Hold tight tolerances to blueprint specifications and make setup adjustments.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex instrument assembly issues.
Assemble multiple product lines and integrate subassemblies into final instruments.
Maintain device history records including serial numbers and tooling documentation.
Perform basic component and module testing.
Recommend process and design improvements.
Train and mentor associates on mechanical and basic testing activities
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing
Follow GMP, safety, and quality procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Senior Electromechanical Assembly Technician Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
2.5+ years of manufacturing experience OR an AA technical degree with technical experience
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment required.
Strong knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
Highly proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting measurements
Ability to manage multiple production orders within time standards.
Experience working within defined quality procedures.
Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing principles
Basic PC proficiency in a Windows environment
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a repetitive environment.
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.
