About the Role
The Lead Product Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing consumer lifecycle implementation of new products, promotions, offers, and rate changes, along with supporting the development of rating and promotional capabilities across a portfolio of services. This role leads cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch, ensuring alignment between marketing strategy, technical execution, and go-to-market delivery.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, Agile environment and has strong experience translating complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions while managing multiple concurrent projects.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Offer Implementation
Lead end-to-end implementation of new products, promotions, pricing updates, and lifecycle changes.
Define and manage extensive offer variables for each new initiative using structured marketing intake documentation.
Deliver multiple product launches or enhancements per quarter, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Provide ongoing product surveillance and lifecycle management to achieve financial and performance objectives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Strategy, IT, Engineering, Sales Operations, Customer Care, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements alignment.
Lead requirements gathering sessions and ensure business needs are accurately translated into detailed technical requirements.
Manage cross-functional teams through planning, implementation, validation, and launch.
Actively participate in quarterly planning cycles and program increment (PI) planning activities.
Technical & Systems Collaboration
Break down business needs into clear technical requirements for development teams.
Write and review features and capabilities from concept to deployment.
Collaborate with design teams on user experience and interface requirements.
Work closely with engineering teams to validate technical solutions.
Partner with go-to-market teams to coordinate launch activities and channel enablement.
Project & Risk Management
Develop and maintain standard project management deliverables including:
Implementation plans
Project schedules
Risk assessments
Issue and action logs
Meeting documentation
Conduct ongoing risk analysis and propose alternative solutions to influence decision-making.
Provide weekly leadership updates on product initiatives and project status.
Subject Matter Expertise & Consultation
Serve as a subject matter expert on product marketing processes and systems.
Consult with marketing partners to identify solutions that meet business objectives.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical organizations.
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to drive business success.
Qualifications
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Strong background in product marketing, product lifecycle management, or offer management.
Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across IT, marketing, sales, and operations.
Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Familiarity with billing, ordering, and front-end systems within a consumer services environment.
Knowledge of promotional systems, rating platforms, CRM tools, and order management systems preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
