<p><strong>Class 1 HGV Driver</strong></p> <p>Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire<br /> Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am&ndash;5pm (some weekend work required &ndash; time off in lieu provided)<br /> Salary: Up to &pound;45,000 per annum</p> <p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <p>Our client is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to support the safe and reliable transportation of equipment and stock to venues and sites across the UK and Europe.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities of a Class 1 HGV Driver</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive Class 1 vehicles to deliver and collect equipment and stock.</li> <li>Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.</li> <li>Load and unload vehicles safely in line with procedures.</li> <li>Complete pre-use vehicle checks and record inspections accurately.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with road traffic laws and safety regulations.</li> <li>Maintain delivery and collection records using digital systems.</li> <li>Assist with equipment set-up and breakdown when required.</li> <li>Provide a professional and customer-focused delivery service.</li> <li>Drive alternative company vehicles when operationally required.</li> <li>Work flexible hours, including early starts, weekends, and nights away.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Skills of a Class 1 HGV Driver</strong></p> <ul> <li>Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with a clean record.</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years&rsquo; Class 1 driving experience.</li> <li>Valid Driver CPC.</li> <li>Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.</li> <li>Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.</li> <li>High attention to detail with accurate paperwork completion.</li> <li>Confident using mobile or app-based systems.</li> <li>Good communication and customer service skills.</li> <li>Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach.</li> </ul> <p>To be considered for this role, please email your CV to katie.tyrrell@first-base.co.uk or call Katie on 01453 755330.</p> <p>REFER A FRIEND: If you have a colleague or friend who may be interested in one of our roles, refer them to us today!
