<p><strong>Exciting Opportunity</strong><br />Our client, a dynamic oil and gas exploration and production company, is seeking a skilled <strong>Corporate Tax Analyst</strong> to join their Corporate Finance and Tax team in response to growth and complex regulations.</p>
<p>We are looking for a driven professional who craves diverse experience in income tax provisions, partnership tax activities, and transaction-related tasks within a fast-paced public company setting. This role offers the chance to play a crucial role in ensuring accurate tax reporting while also gaining hands-on experience in supporting strategic initiatives like mergers, acquisitions, and process automation.</p>
<p><strong>Location</strong><br />This hybrid role is based in <strong>Morgantown, WV</strong>, with the expectation of three days onsite per week.</p>

<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Manage and oversee the corporate tax calendar to meet all filing deadlines</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual income tax provisions</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Create detailed workpapers to support tax provisions, including identifying book-to-tax variances</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Prepare, review, and file estimated tax payments and extensions for various taxes</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support partnership tax activities and collaborate with internal partners as necessary</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Prepare and reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts, including liabilities and adjustments</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Aid in tax integration activities for mergers and acquisitions</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Coordinate with third-party tax service providers as needed</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist with tax notices, audits, research, and special projects</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Contribute to enhancing tax processes, efficiencies, and technology</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support tax initiatives across the corporate enterprise</p>
</li>

<h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>2+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax or public accounting</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools; familiarity with <strong>Quorum</strong> and <strong>BlackLine</strong> preferred</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with data analytics platforms or <strong>robotic process automation (RPA)</strong> tools is beneficial</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>High integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain tax concepts to non-tax professionals</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight regulatory deadlines</p>
</li>
<li>
