CTR Group is seeking a Sr. Project Control Analyst for an R&D Firm in Newport News, VA. Immediate opening and urgently hiring! A Fully Remote Position for 3-6 Months. SUMMARY:Support large, complex projects with significant lab-wide impact by applying Project Management and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles in compliance with DOE Order 413.3B. Responsible for developing and maintaining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), building integrated project schedules, planning and sequencing work packages, resource loading, and tracking performance throughout the project lifecycle. Additional duties include preparing project documentation and reports, managing change requests, and performing cost, schedule, and variance analyses in close collaboration with the project management team. REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems or related field10 or more years of experience analyzing project management performanceExperience utilizing project scheduling software (e.g. Primavera, Project, Open Plan, Artemis).EVM (Earned Value MethodologyExperience with earned value, project scheduling and financial system processes related to project management.DOE PARS reporting process and EVMS certification requirements/management experience desired.Experience developing schedules and projects with CAM (Control Account Managers)Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel functionsExperience with multiple location project facilitationExperience with DOE 413 standardsPMP certification preferredAbility to generate correspondence, memoranda, reports and other documentsStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with the science teamMS Office proficiency, especially ExcelAbility to understand complex problemsAnalytical and deductive reasoning skills requiredPrior scheduling experience in a research environment preferredDepartment of Energy (DOE) project experience highly desired CTR Group has been a leader in its industry for over 35 years and is rated highly on Google, Indeed and Facebook for being a great company to work for.
