Cisco Voice Engineer (UC + Networking | Hybrid)
Sirius Talent is seeking a Cisco Voice Engineer (Unified Communications & Networking) for a long-term contract opportunity in the Tampa, FL area.
This is a hands-on role supporting enterprise voice and collaboration systems while also contributing to network infrastructure initiatives. Ideal for someone with experience in Cisco UC environments who is comfortable troubleshooting VoIP and working with networking components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications systems (CUCM, Unity, Webex, Jabber)
- Diagnose and resolve VoIP issues including SIP signaling, call quality, and endpoint connectivity
- Support Microsoft Teams Calling and Meetings
- Assist with Cisco router and switch installations and configurations
- Support network connectivity across multiple sites, including occasional on-site infrastructure work
- Manage mobile devices, conferencing tools, and AV systems
- Provide ticket-based support and end-user assistance
- Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Unified Communications, VoIP, or network support
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UC technologies (CUCM, Unity, Webex, or Jabber)
- Experience troubleshooting VoIP environments (SIP, call flows, endpoints)
- Working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches
- Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF preferred, BGP a plus)
- Experience in a ticket-driven support environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Calling and Meetings
- Exposure to Contact Center systems
- Understanding of LAN/WAN and client/server environments
- Experience with video conferencing, AV systems, or digital signage
- Mobile device support experience (iPhones, service plans)
Work Environment:
- Hybrid schedule (onsite Monday–Thursday, remote Fridays)
- Occasional travel to support infrastructure at local facilities
- Collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting critical systems
