Shift Engineer
£46,000 - £54,000 (starting up to £50,000 depending on experience, qualifications and behaviours)
4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)
We're looking for a Shift Engineer to support a fast-paced production environment, keeping equipment running, diagnosing faults quickly, and making sure downtime stays where it belongs, which is not on your shift.
You'll be part of a hands-on engineering team responsible for reactive and planned maintenance across a busy site where things move quickly and break occasionally at inconvenient times.

The reality of the role
This is a shift role in the proper sense of the word. You will not be gently eased into problems at a convenient time.
You'll need to be comfortable switching between nights and days, reacting quickly when things fail, and keeping your head straight when the line decides it has other plans.
If you want predictable hours and calm evenings, this is not that job. If you want variety, responsibility and the kind of engineering work where you actually get your hands dirty solving problems, it fits.
