About the Role
<p><strong>Job Title: Mechanical Assembler III – 1st Shift</strong><p><strong>Job Description</strong><p>This role focuses on assisting the team with full mechanical integration and main unit assembly, including crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing components. You work hands-on with power and hand tools to complete final mechanical assembly with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, while following written instructions and working closely with your team on a fast-paced production line.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in full mechanical integration and main unit assembly from start to finish.</li><li>Perform crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing of mechanical and electromechanical components.</li><li>Use drills with different size drill bits to install hardware and securely fasten doors on units.</li><li>Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.</li><li>Follow written instructions, work orders, and assembly procedures accurately.</li><li>Work under direct, close supervision and respond constructively to frequent feedback and monitoring.</li><li>Inspect assembled units for quality, fit, and function, ensuring final assembly meets specifications.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and resolve assembly issues.</li><li>Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot basic assembly problems and escalate issues when needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>At least 1 year of experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly.</li><li>Ability to read and follow written instructions and assembly procedures.</li><li>Experience using power tools, including drills, in a production or light industrial environment.</li><li>Proficiency with hand tools for mechanical assembly and final assembly work.</li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality assemblies.</li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a hands-on mechanical environment.</li><li>Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.</li><li>Comfort working under direct, close supervision with frequent monitoring of output.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Expertise in mechanical finishing roles such as tire technician or display technician is highly relatable and beneficial.</li><li>Experience in light industry or production environments.</li><li>Comfort working with both mechanical and electromechanical components.</li><li>Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You join a company that offers clear pathways for career growth, where leaders have advanced from entry-level roles into executive positions. You must be available to work on scheduled Saturdays and some Sundays as required, as weekend availability is a core expectation of the role. The work takes place in a production and light industrial environment where you regularly use hand tools and power tools, including drills, to assemble mechanical units. You work closely with a team under direct supervision in a structured setting that emphasizes safety, quality, and consistent output. </p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
