Trainee Wealth Manager
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Salary: £29,000 – £33,000 + bonus
An established and growing London-based wealth management firm is seeking a Trainee Wealth Manager to join its advisory team.
This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to progress their career within financial planning. The firm offers a structured development pathway towards Chartered status, supported by formal training, exam support and hands-on experience alongside senior advisers.
The business provides holistic financial planning and investment advice to private clients and has experienced significant growth in recent years.
The Role
Working closely with a Senior Wealth Manager and their team, you will play a key role in supporting client relationships while continuing your progression towards becoming a fully qualified Wealth Manager.
This position would suit someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong technical foundations and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Attending client meetings alongside Wealth Managers
Managing and completing post-meeting action points
Carry forward, Annual Allowance and Lifetime Allowance calculations
Investment research and analysis
Preparing detailed cashflow modelling reports
Responding to client queries (technical and administrative)
Identifying cross-referral and business development opportunities within existing client relationships
Managing workflow through CRM systems and internal tracking tools
Candidate Profile
This is a challenging and rewarding role suited to a confident, motivated and highly organised individual who enjoys taking initiative and working in a client-focused environment.
Essential experience and skills:
Minimum of 2 years experience within a Wealth Management or Financial Planning environment
Started studying CII R0 exams (or equivalent progress towards Diploma)
Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning
High attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional, proactive and positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
