About the Role
<strong>Location:</strong> Clevedon, North Somerset <em>(own transport required)</em><br><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> £20.95 per hour<br><strong>Overtime:</strong> £22.35<br><strong>Sunday Rate:</strong> £33.52<br><strong>Working Hours:</strong> Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm<br><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Temp ongoing<br><strong>Holiday:</strong> 25 days + 8 bank holidays (pro rata + accrued)<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> Immediate<br><br><strong>Overview</strong><br>Pertemps are currently recruiting for <strong>Skilled Electrical Operatives</strong> to join a leading manufacturing company based in Clevedon. The company produces specialist vacuum and exhaust management systems used within the semiconductor industry.<br>This role will support the production line through electrical build and wiring activities, including loom assembly and small electrical builds, ensuring all work meets required specifications and quality standards.<br><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><strong>Electrical Assembly Duties</strong><br><ul><li>Carry out panel wiring and electrical interconnections</li><ul><li>Build wiring looms and harnesses to specification</li><li>Perform wire and cable termination, including high-quality crimping</li><li>Install electrical components, plates, and devices</li><li>Read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and layout drawings</li><li>Repair and replace electrical components and wiring as required</li><li>Complete all relevant build and production documentation</li></ul></ul><strong>General Production Duties</strong><br><ul><li>Follow build notes, work instructions, and direction from the Team Leader</li><ul><li>Work in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards</li><li>Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality</li><li>Carry out rework, corrections, and modifications when required</li><li>Use hand tools and lifting equipment safely</li><li>Maintain 5S standards and a clean working environment</li><li>Support other production areas and roles when required</li><li>Work to production targets, lead times, and deadlines</li><li>Identify and report any issues with materials, documentation, or assembly</li></ul></ul><strong>Skills & Experience</strong><br><strong>Essential</strong><br><ul><li>Proven experience in electrical wiring or assembly</li><ul><li>Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings</li><li>Strong crimping and cable termination skills</li><li>Good attention to detail and commitment to quality</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach</li></ul></ul><strong>Desirable</strong><br><ul><li>Electrical qualification (or equivalent hands-on experience)</li><ul><li>Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li><li>Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components</li><li>Experience using hand tools and power tools</li></ul></ul><br><strong>Apply Now If you’re interested in this role, please apply with your up-to-date CV.<br><br>For more information, contact Pertemps Technical Bristol on 0117 929 4422 (Option 3).</strong>
