Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Adult Social Care Location: Wirral Rate: £33.97 per hour Contract: Locum Working Pattern: Hybrid About the RoleWirral Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Adult Social Care team on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority, delivering high-quality, person-centred services to adults in need of care and support. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining office, home, and community-based work. Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and support planning. Complete strength-based, person-centred assessments focused on prevention and early intervention. Manage a varied and complex caseload. Carry out Mental Capacity Act assessments and Best Interest decisions where appropriate. Undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory guidance. Work collaboratively with health professionals, providers, and voluntary sector organisations. Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive risk management. Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory requirements. RequirementsQualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. Experience working within Adult Social Care. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act. Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid working model. Excellent assessment, communication, and partnership-working skills.
