Teaching Personnel is recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Exeter from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a supportive, therapeutic learning environment, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following a successful temporary placement.
The RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes.
You'll provide one-to-one and small group support, encourage independence, promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, engaging classroom where every pupil can thrive.
