About the Role
<h2>Position Overview</h2><p>P3Hired is working with a B2B SaaS client that is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting and Finance leader to oversee financial operations and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This individual will play a critical role in scaling financial processes, strengthening controls, and supporting organizational growth.</p><p>The ideal candidate brings experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or technology-driven environments, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organization. This role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution, with broad ownership across accounting, financial planning, compliance, and operational support.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><h3>Financial Operations & Accounting</h3><ul><li><p>Oversee all accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, revenue recognition, and cost accounting</p></li><li><p>Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness</p></li><li><p>Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and treasury operations</p></li><li><p>Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes in accordance with GAAP</p></li><li><p>Oversee tax filings and compliance with applicable statutory requirements</p></li><li><p>Partner with HR on payroll and benefits-related financial processes</p></li></ul><h3>Audit, Compliance & Risk Management</h3><ul><li><p>Lead annual financial audits and manage relationships with external auditors</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements</p></li><li><p>Support and maintain security and compliance programs (e.g., SOC 2, PCI, or similar frameworks)</p></li><li><p>Oversee corporate insurance programs, including renewals and claims</p></li></ul><h3>Vendor, Contract & Operational Support</h3><ul><li><p>Review and support negotiation of vendor and customer contracts, ensuring appropriate financial terms and compliance</p></li><li><p>Support procurement processes and oversee company-wide software and vendor spend</p></li><li><p>Provide operational support related to facilities, administrative functions, and company infrastructure as needed</p></li></ul><h3>Budgeting, FP&A & Strategic Finance</h3><ul><li><p>Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis</p></li><li><p>Partner with department leaders on budgeting, hiring plans, and cost management</p></li><li><p>Prepare executive-level reporting and support Board/investor reporting</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency</p></li></ul><h3>Equity & Governance</h3><ul><li><p>Oversee equity administration, including grants, exercises, and cap table management</p></li><li><p>Ensure accurate financial reporting related to equity compensation</p></li><li><p>Support corporate governance activities, including board materials and filings</p></li></ul><h3>People & Cross Functional Support</h3><ul><li><p>Partner with HR on onboarding, offboarding, and policy development</p></li><li><p>Help establish and improve internal processes, documentation, and controls</p></li><li><p>Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization</p></li></ul><h3>Automation & Process Improvement</h3><ul><li><p>Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline financial workflows</p></li><li><p>Evaluate and leverage technology to improve reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement across finance and accounting functions</p></li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li><p>8 - 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles</p></li><li><p>Prior experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or technology-driven start-up environments strongly preferred</p></li><li><p>CPA preferred</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606)</p></li><li><p>Experience with audits, compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, PCI), and financial controls</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with accounting systems and financial planning tools</p></li><li><p>Experience with equity administration and cap table management preferred</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, scaling environment</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally and influence stakeholders</p></li></ul><p></p>
