About the Role
We are seeking dedicated support workers to join our team at a specialist complex needs provision in Cheltenham. Our facility offers educational and supportive services to pupils aged 4-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), complex needs and physical disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to enrich the lives of young children, ensuring they reach their full potential in a caring and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop meaningful relationships with the pupils, based on understanding, trust, and respect.
- Assist in the development and delivery of individualised educational and personal development plans.
- Facilitate activities that encourage educational engagement and social interaction.
- Provide support and assistance with daily life skills and the overall independence of the pupils.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to the pupils' education and welfare.
- Monitor and report on pupils’ progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
- Support pupils with various personal care needs as appropriate.
- Encourage and maintain a safe and positive learning environment at all times.
About You:
- You have experience working with young people, particularly those with PMLD or other complex needs.
- You are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with pupils and work effectively as part of a team.
- You possess a strong understanding of safeguarding and the welfare of young people.
- Relevant qualifications in youth work, education, or social care are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Pay rates around around £14.60 per hour dependant on experience.
