Key Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician

• Perform laboratory tests and analyses to obtain information for patient diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment
• Ensure the accuracy of test results by following quality control procedures
• Prepare specimens for testing and assist in the handling of samples
• Document results and report findings to the appropriate medical personnel

Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician

• Valid Medical Laboratory Technician license
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
