About the role:
justteachers is recruiting for a Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Ripon area from September on a long-term supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed primary practitioner who is passionate about supporting young learners as they build confidence, independence and strong foundations for future learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a Key Stage 1 class, delivering creative and well-structured lessons in line with the primary curriculum.
- Support pupils’ development in phonics, reading, writing, mathematics and wider learning.
- Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel supported.
- Plan, assess and adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A nurturing, patient and inclusive approach to supporting young learners.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
