About the Role

Business Development Manager We are looking for a commercially driven and well-connected Business Development Manager to join our property auction house. This role is responsible for generating new business, increasing property consignments, and building strong relationships with vendors, investors, developers, and estate agents. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our auction portfolio and driving revenue growth across residential and commercial property sales. Key Responsibilities Identify and secure new property listings suitable for auction, including residential, commercial, and development opportunities Develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners, landlords, developers, insolvency practitioners, and estate agents Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and market intelligence Advise clients on the auction process, pricing strategies, and market conditions Negotiate terms of engagement and secure consignment agreements Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, legal, and operations) to ensure successful auction campaigns Monitor property market trends, competitor activity, and regional opportunities Represent the auction house at industry events, property exhibitions, and networking functions Meet and exceed revenue, listing, and conversion targets Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance metrics Key Requirements Proven experience in business development, sales, or acquisitions within the property sector Strong network of contacts within real estate, including agents, investors, and developers Solid understanding of property valuation, sales processes, and auction dynamics Excellent negotiation and influencing skills Strong communication and client relationship management abilities Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field Professional qualifications (e.g., RICS accreditation) are advantageous Experience working within a property auction house or fast-paced real estate environment Key Competencies Commercial acumen Relationship building and networking Negotiation and closing skills Market awareness and strategic thinking Resilience and results orientation What We Offer Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure Car allowance Opportunity to work with a diverse property portfolio Career progression within a growing auction business Dynamic and fast-paced working environment
