Payroll Senior

​Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a leading Yorkshire accountancy practice and recognised UK Top 100 firm in their search for an experienced Payroll Senior.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of weekly and monthly payrolls across a diverse client base. You will act as an advisor, adding value through market and legislation knowledge specifically surrounding pension but also as a wider payroll specialist.

This is an ideal opportunity for a personable and technically proficient payroll specialist with prior experience in a bureau environment. If you are looking to develop your career in a well established and reputable practice firm in Yorkshire, then this role is for you. This role could be in either Leeds or Sheffield.

Duties/responsibilities:

• Manage your own portfolio of payroll clients from start to finish

• Setting up new payroll clients

• Manage BACs payments for clients

• Dealing with employee enquiries relating to payroll

• Assist with training and development of junior payroll team members

• Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs

• Dealing with ad hoc queries

Who you are:

• Previous bureau payroll experience

• CIPP Qualified or actively studying

• Good attention to detail

• Experience using BrightPay

• Willingness to learn and good communication skills
