<p><strong>Arboriculture Consultant &#8211; Reading</strong></p> </p> <p>A well-established, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Arboricultural Consultant to join its growing arboriculture team near Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious consultant looking to work on a wide variety of projects across the UK &#8211; from major infrastructure schemes to bespoke residential developments.</p> </p> <p><strong>Company benefits;</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>A flexible and hybrid working policy</p> </li> <li> <p>25 days annual leave + bank holidays, rising with service</p> </li> <li> <p>Additional day off for your birthday</p> </li> <li> <p>Company pension scheme</p> </li> <li> <p>Paid professional memberships and CPD support</p> </li> <li> <p>Access to industry-leading training and mentoring</p> </li> <li> <p>Regular team away days and social events</p> </li> <li> <p>Cycle-to-work scheme and travel loan options</p> </li> </ul> <p>The successful candidate will work within a supportive team of arboricultural and ecological experts, contributing to a wide range of projects in both the public and private sectors.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Undertaking tree surveys to BS5837:2012</p> </li> <li> <p>Preparing high-quality arboricultural reports and impact assessments</p> </li> <li> <p>Liaising with clients, local planning authorities, and design teams</p> </li> <li> <p>Providing expert arboricultural advice to support planning applications</p> </li> <li> <p>Assisting with tree protection strategies and mitigation measures</p> </li> <li> <p>Supporting senior consultants with project management and delivery</p> <p></p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Degree or diploma in Arboriculture or a related subject</p> </li> <li> <p>A minimum of 2 years&#8217; relevant experience in a consultancy or similar role</p> </li> <li> <p>Proficient in tree identification and surveying</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of BS5837:2012 and relevant planning legislation</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</p> </li> <li> <p>Full UK driving licence</p> </li> <li> <p>Membership of the Arboricultural Association or progress toward it is desirable</p> </li> <li> <p>Proficiency in CAD or GIS systems is advantageous but not essential</p> </li> </ul> <p>You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside a team of ecologists, landscape architects and environmental consultants.
