About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning and development? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with students across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, helping them to achieve both academically and personally.
About the Role:
This is a rewarding and varied role where you will support students with a range of needs, both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with pupils who may require additional help with their learning, as well as those who need support managing behaviour and staying engaged.
The role will involve a combination of 1:1 support and small group interventions, helping students to build confidence, develop key skills, and make progress in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support for students who require additional academic or behavioural support
• Deliver small group interventions to reinforce learning and develop key skills
• Support students in accessing lessons and staying on task
• Assist with behaviour management, promoting positive and respectful conduct
• Work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies
• Help build students’ confidence, independence, and engagement
• Monitor and provide feedback on student progress
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care, and confidentiality
Who We’re Looking For:
• A patient, supportive, and enthusiastic individual
• Experience working with children or young people (in education, care, or similar settings)
• Ability to support both learning and behaviour effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to get involved
• GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Maths
