SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary - Brighouse

About the Role:

Justteachers is recruiting a motivated and caring SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply role in a primary school in Brighouse, starting in September. This school is dedicated to providing high-quality support for pupils with additional needs and prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, strong pastoral care and commitment to helping every child succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored classroom support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist pupils with their learning, communication and social development.
• Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider SEND team.

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience supporting SEND pupils in a school setting.
• Understanding of a range of additional learning needs.
• Positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
