About the role: Justteachers are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 learner within a welcoming SEN school in Rugby. Beginning in September 2026 , this full-time role has no set end date , making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding long-term position. You will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop confidence and make meaningful progress both academically and socially. Key Responsibiliti es: Deliver consistent 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual learning needs. Assist with implementing personalised learning plans and EHCP outcomes. Support literacy, numeracy and communication activities. Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Help the pupil develop independence and social interaction skills. Work alongside teachers and other professionals to monitor progress. Prepare learning resources and adapt classroom activities where required Pre-requisites: Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable. Understanding of autism, ADHD or other additional needs is advantageous. Caring, flexible and proactive approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
