A permanent, live-out nanny role supporting a private family in Barnes, caring for a 2-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl within a structured shared-care household.
This position involves working alongside a hands-on parent, with one parent typically present at home. The role requires confidence managing two age groups, supporting early learning, and maintaining calm organisation within a busy family home. The family values open communication, engagement, and a nanny who approaches the role with humility and professionalism.
Job Specification
• Shared care of two children aged 2 and 5
• Nursery l pick-up for the 2 year old (15:30)
• Taking the 2-year-old out for walks and age-appropriate outings
• Planning and delivering play-based learning activities
• Supporting early learning fundamentals and social development
• Supervising homework for the 5-year-old
• Preparing fresh, home-cooked meals from scratch for the children
• Managing children’s laundry
• Maintaining tidy play areas and cleaning up after activities
• Bath time support and evening routine assistance
• Confidently managing both children together when required
Candidate Specification
• Proven experience working with toddlers and early school-aged children
• Confident in a shared-care environment with a parent at home
• Fluent English essential
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning
• Play-based learning approach (formal qualifications beneficial but not essential)
• Collaborative, respectful, and engaged personality
• Long-term mindset and professional approach to nannying
• Comfortable around dogs (family has a small dog)
• Excellent checkable references
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & a current First Aid Certificate
