Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an Occupational Medicine/Employee Health locum tenens assignment in Sacramento, California. You will join an onsite health team supporting workplace injury prevention, first aid and triage, and early intervention planning. This role emphasizes preventive care, employee education, and clear documentation to support return-to-work efforts.

Clinical Scope

  • Perform ergonomic assessments and implement corrective strategies to reduce workplace injuries
  • Provide first aid and triage support for musculoskeletal and non-musculoskeletal complaints
  • Educate employees on injury prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices
  • Partner with safety managers and HR teams to support workforce wellbeing
  • Document assessments and provide actionable insights through data reporting
  • Support early intervention and return-to-work plans for injured employees

Requirements

  • Active California Nurse Practitioner state license
  • NCCPA or AANP certification
  • DEA
  • BLS
  • Occupational Medicine experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in industrial, occupational health, or sports medicine settings
  • Ergonomics and injury prevention experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA recordability and workers’ compensation procedures
  • CEAS or OSHA10 certification
