We’re now looking for a Care and Support Registered Manager to lead high‑quality care across our retirement villages. The Role As our Care and Support Registered Manager, you will take ownership of delivering safe, compassionate and effective care, ensuring we meet and exceed the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC). You will provide visible leadership, shape our care services, and create an environment where residents feel supported, connected and valued. You will: Act as the Registered Manager with the CQC, ensuring full compliance across all care activities Lead and develop Deputy Care and Support Managers and Care and Support Leads Ensure care teams are well‑trained, competent and confident to deliver exceptional care Be the primary point of contact for residents and their families regarding care matters Maintain a strong presence at village meetings, offering meaningful updates and insights Ensure safeguarding concerns are raised and managed appropriately Respond to feedback, concerns and compliments promptly and with care Create, maintain and review service development plans to drive continuous improvement Monitor budgets, manage expenditure and contribute to business growth Oversee accurate and compliant record‑keeping in line with Information Governance Work collaboratively with Village Managers and service teams (housekeeping, catering, maintenance) to ensure a joined‑up approach Support each village in delivering an effective out‑of‑hours on‑call service About You This role blends professional expertise with a people‑focused mindset. We’re looking for someone who brings both operational confidence and genuine warmth to their leadership. You will bring: Experience managing care services, ideally across multiple sites or within community/domiciliary care Strong working knowledge of CQC requirements, Essential Standards, safeguarding, MCA, medication, infection control and GDPR A collaborative communication style, able to share complex or sensitive information with clarity and empathy Ability to analyse complex situations, problem‑solve and make informed decisions Experience planning and coordinating interlinked activities, teams and priorities Confidence using IT systems including Word, Excel, Outlook and electronic care management tools Experience supporting older people, people with disabilities and/or people living with dementia Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about sector developments What We’re Looking For You’ll be someone who: Communicates openly, honestly and with kindness Builds strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external partners Leads teams with support, coaching and accountability Creates a culture of collaboration, respect and inclusion Understands the importance of enabling older people to live with independence, dignity and purpose Brings curiosity, innovation and a positive approach to change Why St Monica Trust?
