You will join an international logistics service provider with a strong presence across Europe and beyond. The organization offers a wide range of logistics solutions, including contract logistics, e‑fulfilment, and international air and ocean freight forwarding. With a strong focus on quality, innovation, and customer commitment, the company delivers end‑to‑end logistics solutions across multiple industries.
Functie
- You lead and coordinate the finance department (approximately four professionals), including coaching, planning, and quality control;
- You are responsible for accurate and timely month‑end closings in compliance with local and group accounting policies;
- You prepare and analyze weekly and monthly financial and operational reports and KPIs;
- You perform in‑depth analysis of profit & loss statements and balance sheets, identifying risks and improvement opportunities;
- You jointly prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts, covering revenue, costs, and cash flow;
- You provide clear financial analyses and commentary on actual results versus budget and forecasts;
- You prepare statutory financial statements and support internal and external audits;
- You are responsible for VAT filings and fiscal compliance;
- You manage internal controls, system access rights, segregation of duties, and follow up on audit findings;
- You support ad‑hoc financial analyses and strategic or business‑related projects;
Profiel
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- You have at least five years of relevant experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role;
- You possess strong knowledge of international accounting standards, preferably US GAAP and consolidated reporting;
- You have proven experience in managing and developing a finance team;
- You demonstrate strong analytical skills and can translate financial data into actionable business insights;
- You are well organized and comfortable working under tight deadlines;
- You are detail‑oriented, accurate, and quality‑driven;
- You have a proactive, independent, and hands‑on mindset;
- Experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is a strong advantage;
