This opportunity would suit an ACA or ACCA part-qualified or finalist-level accountant who wants broader exposure and increased responsibility.</p> <p data-start="907" data-end="1068">The role offers a strong audit bias, alongside accounts preparation, within a supportive environment that values professional development and steady progression.</p> <hr data-start="1070" data-end="1073" /> <h3 data-start="1075" data-end="1087">The Role</h3> <p data-start="1089" data-end="1383">You will support and contribute to audit assignments across a varied client portfolio, with exposure to sectors including financial services, pensions, charities, education and professional services. Client sizes range from owner-managed businesses through to groups with turnovers up to £250m.</p> <p data-start="1385" data-end="1410">Responsibilities include:</p> <ul data-start="1412" data-end="1673"> <li data-start="1412" data-end="1471"> <p data-start="1414" data-end="1471">Assisting on audits from planning through to completion</p> </li> <li data-start="1472" data-end="1535"> <p data-start="1474" data-end="1535">Preparing statutory and consolidated accounts under FRS 102</p> </li> <li data-start="1536" data-end="1577"> <p data-start="1538" data-end="1577">Drafting corporation tax computations</p> </li> <li data-start="1578" data-end="1626"> <p data-start="1580" data-end="1626">Preparing accounts for audit-exempt entities</p> </li> <li data-start="1627" data-end="1673"> <p data-start="1629" data-end="1673">Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1675" data-end="1678" /> <h3 data-start="1680" data-end="1693">About You</h3> <ul data-start="1695" data-end="1921"> <li data-start="1695" data-end="1743"> <p data-start="1697" data-end="1743">ACA or ACCA part-qualified or finalist level</p> </li> <li data-start="1744" data-end="1809"> <p data-start="1746" data-end="1809">Two to three years’ experience within UK accountancy practice</p> </li> <li data-start="1810" data-end="1865"> <p data-start="1812" data-end="1865">Strong grounding in audit work and file preparation</p> </li> <li data-start="1866" data-end="1921"> <p data-start="1868" data-end="1921">Confident communicating with clients and colleagues</p> </li> </ul> <p data-start="1923" data-end="2011">Experience with CCH, ProAudit, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or Alphatax would be advantageous.</p> <hr data-start="2013" data-end="2016" /> <p data-start="2018" data-end="2193">This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to strengthen their audit profile while continuing to build accounts experience within a progressive practice environment.</p>
