Our client — a nationally recognized pediatric long-term care and rehabilitation center — is seeking a Director of Clinical Education to lead and inspire a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and compassionate, evidence-based care.<br />
In this role, you’ll have the chance to design and implement dynamic education programs, mentor talented clinicians, and strengthen professional practice standards across the organization — all within a supportive, collaborative environment that truly puts children first.</p>
<p>Title:Director of Clinical Education<br />
Location: Westchester County, NY<br />
Salary + Benefits: $140,000 – $155,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities</p>
<p>Responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Education:<br />
Lead the planning, development, and implementation of organization-wide educational programs for all clinical departments.<br />
Develop and maintain evidence-based policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.<br />
Evaluate staff competencies in partnership with department managers and oversee ongoing clinical skill development.<br />
Foster a learning culture through needs assessments, mentorship, and innovative teaching strategies.<br />
Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation, mandated in-service training, and continuing education initiatives.<br />
Partner with Quality and Nursing teams to identify and address clinical performance improvement opportunities.<br />
Support readiness for regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with all education-related standards.<br />
Supervise and mentor clinical educators and educational support staff.<br />
Serve as a clinical resource to staff, residents, and families to promote excellence in care delivery.<br />
Strengthen a culture of evidence-based practice, professional accountability, and compassionate service.</p>
<p>Requirements of the Director of Clinical Education<br />
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.<br />
Master’s Degree in Nursing Education (MSN) required; Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.<br />
Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential a plus.<br />
Current CPR and PALS certification.<br />
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical or pediatric nursing; pediatric/adolescent rehab experience strongly preferred.<br />
At least 3 years in a clinical educator or supervisory role.<br />
Proven ability to develop and implement interdisciplinary educational programs and evaluate their effectiveness.<br />
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and performance improvement processes.<br />
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.<br />
Proficiency with EMR systems and educational technologies.<br />
Ability to work a full-time, on-site Monday–Friday schedule (occasional weekends as needed).</p>
