Accounts Manager - Birkenhead
A well-established accountancy practice is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join its Birkenhead office. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong, client-focused accountant who enjoys managing relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, and supporting junior staff development.
The role:
- Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses across multiple sectors
- Act as the main point of contact, providing proactive advice
- Review statutory accounts and ensure UK GAAP compliance
- Oversee corporation tax work and liaise with specialists
- Manage workflow, deadlines, and team delivery
- Support and mentor junior team members
About you:
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong experience managing clients within practice
- Solid technical knowledge of accounts and compliance
- Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
