<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Position Summary</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (GRF), Focus Partners Business Management is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Tax Accountant role is responsible for the preparation of various reports in support of servicing clients, preparation of simple to moderately complex tax returns, as well as tax projections and tax research.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Focus / GRF provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Our hybrid model is defined as 3 days in office work required per week, while giving team members the option to work remotely 2 days per week, or as assigned by their team leader.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Prepare individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Review General Ledger and reports to assist in preparation of tax projections</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Perform tax research and planning, as needed, to solve client’s tax issues</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Correspondence regarding tax notices, jurisdictional issues, and/or tax audits</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Prepare closeouts for loan-out corporations and analyzing payroll withholding requirements for federal and state</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist in the preparation of financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc.</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with state, local, and international tax clearances for touring artists</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist client service team with other projects, as necessary</span></p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Currently pursuing or recently received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Expected graduation date before July 2026</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work and commute out of our Encino, CA or Century City, CA offices</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Prior experience in preparation and/or review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns is preferred</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency at Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Agilink is a plus</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with GoSystems, CCH tax software is a plus</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">CPA or CPA eligibility is highly preferred</span></p>
</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;">
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Solid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Capability to learn new systems and process information quickly</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This position is a non-exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $65,000-$75,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
