<strong>Salary: up to £65,000 DOE + welcome bonus</strong></p>
<p>An established, multi-site veterinary group in <strong>Dewsbury, West Yorkshire</strong> is seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Medical Veterinary Surgeon</strong> to take a key leadership role within a well-equipped hospital environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet with a strong medical or ECC bias who enjoys clinical leadership, complex case management, and developing others.</p>
<h3><strong>The Opportunity</strong></h3>
<p>You’ll play a pivotal role in driving medical standards, supporting clinical governance, and contributing to the ongoing development of a large, experienced veterinary team. The practice offers a varied caseload, strong referral exposure, and access to advanced diagnostics and facilities.</p>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Lead and manage complex medical cases from admission through to discharge</p>
<li>
<p>Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the wider veterinary team</p>
<li>
<p>Support clinical governance, protocols, and high standards of patient care</p>
<li>
<p>Interpret diagnostics confidently and make sound clinical decisions</p>
<li>
<p>Contribute to mentoring, case discussions, and team development</p>
<li>
<p>Maintain excellent client communication and case continuity</p>
</ul>
<h3><strong>About You</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong medical and/or ECC expertise</p>
<li>
<p>Medical or ECC certificate holder, or working towards one (or equivalent experience)</p>
<li>
<p>Confident clinical decision-maker in a fast-paced hospital environment</p>
<li>
<p>Comfortable supporting and guiding colleagues at varying experience levels</p>
<li>
<p>Committed to high standards of clinical care and professional integrity</p>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Facilities & Clinical Environment</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Purpose-built hospital with <strong>CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and dental X-ray</strong></p>
<li>
<p>On-site middle-tier referrals and advanced medical case exposure</p>
<li>
<p>Minimum <strong>15-minute consults</strong></p>
<li>
<p>Separate cat and dog areas; Cat Friendly accreditation</p>
<li>
<p>Large, experienced vet and nursing team with certificate holders</p>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Working Pattern</strong></h3>
<ul>

<p>Full-time, <strong>40 hours per week</strong></p>
<li>
