CDL-B Driver/ Warehouse Distribution associate

1st Shift 

Warehouse/ CDL B-Driver

 

Express Employment Professionals, Atlanta Ne location has a Warehouse worker/driving  opportunity for a CDL-B driver in the Tucker/Stone Mountain location. This position requires warehouse work and PT driving.

 

Summary:  Performs activities associated with filling orders and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts and delivering them to the specified destination. Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure, maintain logs of working hours, collect delivery instructions. Back fill in the warehouse when needed. 

 

This position requires you to be able to unload your material using a lift or hand truck. 

 

Requirements: 

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current valid Driver’s  License, CDL-B and DOT Health Card
• Attention to Detail— Ability to be careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.   Ability to speak effectively with customers and Co-workers.
• Mechanical Skills: Ability to operate basic machines and power tools and a knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Arm-Hand Steadiness— The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

Physical requirement: Standing, walking, bending, squat or kneeling. 

 

Hours: 

Days that you are driving 6 a.m.-3 p.m.

Regular warehouse hours 7a.m.-4 p.m.
